🎁 Give Yourself the Gift of Reading this Winter Season 📚

Posted Date: 12/17/25 (11:58 AM)

Take the time over break to enjoy leisurely independent reading!

Library Winter Reading Display

Stop by the MHS Library to check out books to read over Winter Break. We have our version of “Blind Date with a Book” on display in the front entrance of the Library. Check out our selection of  wrapped library books – two books (one of which is brand new!) with similar themes that are bundled together. We have packages for all sorts of readers – including books featuring dragons and magic, foodies, Greek mythology, suspense, awkward romance, novels in verse, and much more! Come in to select and check out a book bundle, wait until you’re home to unwrap it, and enjoy two great reads over break!

Read to Feed flyer

All students and staff readers are also encouraged to participate in our Read to Feed program. Log your reading to help end hunger. For every 2,000 minutes we collectively log, the Read to Feed initiative from Heifer International donates a flock of chickens to a family somewhere in the world–helping a family out of poverty! Sign up now by following this guide (which is also posted on our website) and get started at https://heifer.beanstack.org.

During finals, the MHS Library will be open from 7:45 AM to 4:45 PM.

Reach out to Ms. Mia Gittlen in the Library (mgittlen@musd.org) if you have any questions.

Happy reading!
