9th Grade Chromebook Exchange
Greetings 9th grade students at MHS main campus!
On Monday, October 6, all 9th grade students at MHS main campus will exchange their current Chromebooks for a new Chromebook. This is MANDATORY. The Chromebook Exchange will happen during students' English 1 class. If a student does not have their Chromebook on the day of the Chromebook Exchange, they will need to pick up the new Chromebook on a later date before or after school from the MHS textbook window.
The three items students must have bring on Monday, October 6, for the Chromebook Exchange are:
1. All MUSD Chromebook(s) in your possession (even older ones that you might still have from COVID).
2. All Chromebook chargers
3. Your 25-26 student ID card
A fee of $100 will be added on Aeries for any students who have lost their Chromebook (including charger) OR students who decide to purchase their Chromebook. A fee of $20 will be added on Aeries for any students who have lost their Chromebook charger only.
To purchase your existing Chromebook or to pay the fee for the lost Chromebook or charger, you can either bring cash or check (make check payable to Milpitas High School to the MHS Student Bank. If paying by check, make sure to write your student ID # in the notes/memo section.

For student who have lost/damaged their Chromebooks or who want to purchase their Chromebooks, here is the price breakdown.
To purchase their Chromebook and charger- $40
To pay for a lost or damaged Chromebook and no charger- $40
To pay for a lost or damaged Chromebook and you have charger- $20
To pay for a missing charger- $20
Fees must be paid in cash or by check. Do not go to the MHS school bank to pay. It must be paid to Tech Services in the library when doing the Chromebook exchange on Monday, 10/6.
If a student purchases their Chromebook, Tech Services will unlock the Chromebook for personal use. It will not have any school restrictions or apps. Tech Services will not fix or service the Chromebooks that are purchased by students.

Any students who did not exchange their Chromebook for a new one yesterday (Mon, 10/6), can do so starting today (Tuesday, 10/7), by going to the MHS textbook room before school, during break, lunch, or after school. Students must return their old Chromebook and charger (or purchase them), and have their current student ID. Please reach out to Ms. Layug clayug@musd.org for any further questions.
