Financial Aid for the Class of 2017
Please remember that dates are changing this year for submitting the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA opens the door to state and federal aid/grants. It's important for everyone to complete and submit the FAFSA. Regardless of income, if you are going to a 2 year or 4 year college or whether it's a private or public university, everyone should complete it. The priority filing period is now from Oct.1st, 2016 thru March 2nd, 2017.
We've attached the presenters slides in case you missed it.
College Entrance Exams - SAT & ACT
To go directly to a 4 year college, entrance exams are required. Students can take the SAT or the ACT, most colleges accept either one. MHS does not offer these tests on our campus. Students will need to sign up for the SAT at collegeboard.org and they can sign up for the ACT at act.org . Both websites offer valuable information and free test prep so make sure you take a look at them. Please see your counselor for further information.
Welcome to Counseling at MHS
