One of the key programs of the MHS PTSA every year is its scholarship program. Since 1999, the PTSA has awarded over $100,000 to more than 200 graduating seniors in recognition of their community service and school involvement.
It was started by Jennifer Lind (PTSA President, 1998-99) for the Class of 1999. The goal was to recognize the average student who came to school everyday, helped out and was involved in the community. She approached community businesses and got an overwhelming response.
